Kyle Hornby will be spending his second year in the Ginetta Junior championship not with the team he made his debut with, R&J Motorsport.
Hornby has signed for JHR Developments, and will be racing next year alongside Sebastian Perez, Sebastian Priaulx, and Cameron Roberts.
In his debut season, Hornby took third place in the rookie championship.
The teenager scored 13 podiums across both the main and rookie class and a pole position at Silverstone.
Hornby is now aiming for the championship title.
“I can’t wait to get back out on the track,” Hornby said. “This winter seems to have been one of the longest of my career! I had a great debut season with Ginetta in 2015 and this year I intend to be a major contender for the championship title. I want to make my mark on the Ginetta history books!”
“Having managed and sourced sponsors for our drivers for 20 years, we have been extremely satisfied with the organisation, the competitiveness, and the exposure of Ginetta,” said Graeme Glew, director of Race Driver Development. “We have two drivers in this year’s championship and hope to see one of them take the title.”
