Team Aguri will be sporting a new blue and orange livery this weekend to mark it’s partnership with fuel and lubricant brand Gulf.
The Gulf name isn’t new to motorsports, with several sports car championship wins under its name, but this will be the first time the company will see its name in the electric motorsport world.
Gulf says this shows their commitment to changing world of the automotive industry, with the focus turning to greener electric and hybrid vehicles.
“These new vehicles will require new lubricant solutions to ensure they run at optimum efficiency and to support the evolving technologies that will provide increased range, faster charging and greater durability,” said Frank Rutten, Gulf Vice President. “The Gulf brand’s involvement in Formula E will put us at the forefront of these developments.”
Gulf will become Team Aguri’s title sponsor, after a deal made through Mexican Fuel Licensee IF Vertical 2.
Marc Faggionato, Team Aguri owner, said: “To work with a global brand such as Gulf is a real coup for the team, and reinforces our commitment to driving the development of the future of automotive technologies that will become commonplace in the road cars of tomorrow. We are excited about our partnership and look forward to forging a strong and lasting relationship.”
