Team HARD move to three cars

Team HARD are widening their fleet after securing a third TOCA BTCC License. The Kent-based team will run three cars for the 2016 British Touring Car Championship.

With Jake Hill and rookie Chris Smiley already confirmed to pilot the teams Toyota Avensis cars, the third driver will be announced this Wednesday.

The team have been busy all winter preparing the cars for the season launch on the 22nd, and will continue to build cars two and three.

“With Jake Hill joining Chirs Smiley, we already have one of the most exciting pairings of young talent in the series,” said Tony Gilham, Team Principal. “As soon as it became apparent that we were in a position to run a third car, we decided to again look to young talent to fill the seat.”

To find out whether the move for the reinvented team has come too early, we’ll have to wait until the first race at Brands Hatch next month.
