Carl Boardley is now counting down the days after announcing he’ll be making a full time return to the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup.
Boardley joined the British Touring Car Championship support paddock back in 2013, but has taken a break of almost two years for medical reasons. At the end of 2015, the multiple hot rod champion competed in the Silverstone and Brands Hatch rounds of the championship, easing himself into the return to series.
Boardley’s return was marked with a podium at Brands Hatch last season, finishing second. Now, he’s aiming for podium finishes and race wins in the upcoming season.
“It’s been a long time coming and I’ve missed the guy in the paddock over the past two years,” said Boardley. “The racing is fantastic and the car is great fun to drive, so I’m just counting down the days to the opening weekend, where I’m hoping my winning streak may continue.”
