Field to continue with JamSport

Masters Cup winner Graham Field will continue at JamSport for a second season, completing the reigning champion team’s line up.

The 57-year-old will bring some experience to a team of rookies, but he’s aiming to learn from his younger teammates in his sixth season in the Renault UK Clio Cup.

“I’m no spring chicken but, just as I benefited from having Ant Whorton-Eales as a teammate in 2016, I look forward to learning from JamSport’s three very exciting young talents,” said Field.

“A win or two in the Masters Cup would be lovely, but my main aim as always will be to improve my own personal performance. I love the competition the UK Clio Cup provides – it really keeps you young at heart – and I’ve seen some big gains in both my qualifying and overall race pace these past two seasons. I’m really determined to keep that going in 2017.”

Field has already begun preseason testing, and has produced some “respectable” times. The team is expecting him to enjoy some good battles with the younger drivers on track.

This announcement completes JamSport’s 2017 line up. Field will share the garage with Nathan Harrison, Aaron Thompson, and Lucas Orrack.
