NASCAR: The Nascar Xfinity Series rolled into Texas Motorspeedway today in what was a cool windy day for for the Lonestar State. Ryan Blaney started on poll for what would be a dominating day for him and his Penske team. Blaney would lead 132 laps of the of the 300 mile race.
This marks the third straight week that team Penske has dominated and won the race with its three drivers. Blaney would lead all the laps of stage one.
Stage two ended with 21 year old Brandon Jones of Joe Gibbs Racing picking up the stage win with a one lap shootout to end the stage. Jones day though would end early with a wreck involving Jones, Kaz Grala and Ryan Sieg.
The third and final stage started and Daniel Hemric in the number 21 for Richard Childress Racing would be out front but with 45 laps to go Blaney would catch and pass him and not look back on his way to the victory.
Christopher Bell would finish second with Daniel Hemric third, Cole Custer fourth and Ryan Preece rounding out the top five.
Next week Nascar heads to “The Last Great Collusiem” in Bristol Tennessee. Bristol is known for its beating and banging. The tempers will surely fly when we hit the track next Saturday. It also Mark’s the first race in the Xfinity Series Dash For Cash with 100,000 dollars on the line. You can expect a lot of rubbing and beating next weekend.
