Gronholm Top Qualifier in Norway

Niclas Gronholm continues his comeback from appendicitis to take Top Qualifier at the World RX of Norway.

Niclas Gronholm was fastest in the fourth qualifying session of the weekend at the fifth round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Hell to take Top Qualifier going into the semi-finals.

Timmy Hansen recorded the fastest time in the first qualifying session of the day to move him up to second in the overall standings ahead of Timur Timerzyanov.

Andreas Bakkerud won his Q4 race and is fourth overall going into the semi-finals. Whilst Kevin Hansen moved up to fifth.

Despite good runs in the days two qualifying sessions Timo Scheider dropped down to sixth. At his first World RX event Kevin Abbring goes seventh and was fourth fastest in Q3.

Anton Marklund is the first of the GCK cars in eighth ahead of Rokas Baciuska, with Cyril Raymond and Guerlain Chicherit in eleventh and twelfth. Janis Baumanis also makes it through to the semi-finals in tenth.

Missing out on the semi-finals are Liam Doran, Krisztian Szabo, Jani Paasonen, Oliver Bennett, Guillaume De Ridder.

Semi-finals return later this afternoon.
