Reinis Nitiss fastest in second qualifying after a roll in the first session, whilst Andreas Bakkerud is overnight top qualifier.

In a topsy turvey first day at the World RX of Sweden, Reinis Nitiss was caught on the curbs at turn one in race four and was launched into a roll. The GRX Set team got the car back out for Q2 where on a drying track Nitiss took the win in race five and fastest time of the session. This boosted him up to fifth overnight.

Andreas Bakkerud led the way in Q1 but was in the first race of Q2 on a wet but drying track. Despite being twelfth in the session he maintained his top qualifier position.

Anton Marklund is second, Kevin Abbring third and Kevin Eriksson fourth overnight.

Guerlain Chicherit was able to recover a bad Q1 result to move up to sixth overnight ahead of Sebastien Erikksson.

Timo Scheider, Kevin Hansen, Niclas Gronholm, Timur Timerzyanov and Fabien Pailler all had steady runs in both sessions to round out the semi-final positions.

Championship leader Timmy Hansen is sixteenth overnight after a puncture in the first qualifying session.

Rokas Baciuska is just out of the top 12, after problems off the start in Q2. Cyril Raymond ends the day in fourteenth ahead of Krisztian Szabo.

Liam Doran is down in twenty-second after a puncture and broken steering saw him into the bank in Q1.

We return to Holjes tomorrow for the remaining two rounds of qualifying ahead of the finals.
