With the start of British F3 season coming in August, Hitech GP have join the championship grid, confirming its participation this morning (Friday 26 June).
Hitech have joined the BRDC British F3 Championship after establishing itself in recent years as a sucessful team in the F3 championships across Europe and Asia. Former drivers include 2017 British F3 champion Enaam Ahmed and current Williams F1 driver George Russell who competed and won the series back when it was known as BRDC F4.
Hitech plans to debut two cars at Oulton Park’s rescheduled season opener on 1st and 2nd of August.
The team, based in Silverstone will have Phil Blow at the helm of the British F3 programme. Blow has managed Hitech’s F3 Asian Championship champaign since 2018.
Drivers are yet to be announced but will join a steller grid with drivers from 10 different nations already confirmed on the grid.
Hitech Team Principal, Oliver Oakes, said: “We are delighted to be joining the BRDC British F3 programme this season, despite being slightly up against it since we are a late entry to the grid. It will be a new challenge for us, but we are looking forward to making our debut at Oulton Park in August.”
