PMR have secured a two car entry for the 2017 BTCC season and will run two Vauxhall Astras as part of the agreement with the car manufacturer.

Vauxhall have, in the past, taken ten Manufacturer’s Championships, the last in 2009, after which they pulled out of the series as manufacturers.

“It is fantastic to be welcoming Vauxhall back to the BTCC as a manufacturer entry,” said series director Alan Gow. “Its history and pedigree is there for all the see and I have no doubt that the highly professional and experienced team at Power Maxed Racing will be great partners.”

Work will now begin to develop the cars over the winter break. The announcement of the driver line up, which Weaver has described as “talented and excited” is expected soon.
