New team offer chance for subsidised Ginetta Junior seat

With rising costs involved in motorsport, making the switch from karting to car racing is a costly affair. But young drivers who fancy a cheaper entry in the Ginetta Junior championship have a chance to win a seat with new team Excelr8 Motorsport.

Excelr8, who have already found success in the MINI Challenge championship, are joinging the Gientta Junior championship in 2017. The team also compete in the 24 hour Endurance Series.

“We have built Excelr 8 on the premise of winning,” said team owner Justina Williams. “We instil this in everything we do and we have proven this over the years with our involvement in Production Touring Cars and also Mini Challenge. Our involvement in the Ginetta Juniors will be no different. Excelr8 will be there to win.

“Though we are not unrealistic and understand that there will be a lot for us to learn and that success will not come without hard work and dedication from the team. Excelr8 will be in it with every intention of achieving the same success that has been achieved elsewhere.”

They are offering a subsidised seat to one teenage racer for their debut season. Drivers will have the chance to win the seat in a competition on February 10th at Blyton Park.

The day will consist of professional tuition from Phil Glew before drivers get a chance to compete for the prize of a £20,000 subsidy on a full season with the team.
