Salih Saltunç leads a family 1-2 to dominate opening F1 eSports final

The first final of the qualifying stages of the F1 eSports series would take place on the Xbox One platform, A platform well known for the F1 Competitive scene as seen as the main stage for the hugely popular series, Apex Online Racing. The race would be an important one as the top three finishers would secure their spot in the pro draft.

After Salih’s amazing start his brother, Sonuç, would begin to hunt down second place in chase of his brother pulling off an incredibly daring move into Turn 7 Maximilian Benecke who would later drop out of the race.

Isaac Price would sit in third for most of the race after this until Jack Kill made an absolutely magnificent undercut to close the gap and successfully take third place after the pit stops. He would as result have to fend off the charging Price from behind on younger tyres.

But it would his composure would pay off as Isaac Price would push too hard and missing his braking point into Turn 8 and causing contact with James Doherty, Seeing Joe Upson move into fourth.

However, Doherty would fight back in the later stages of the race to retake fourth place making two overtakes.

In the final stages of the race, the top three positions were secure, but that didn’t stop the midfield battling until the very end. Lap 13 of 14 saw Cedric Thomé make a stunning move on Isaac Price’s McLaren forcing the McLaren to the outside line and effectively boxing him in behind the Renault ahead to secure the position.

Salih Saltunç would eventually take the win by nine seconds over his brother, Sonuç who came home five seconds ahead of Jack Kill. All three securing their spot in the Pro Draft.
