Joan Mir will partner Alex Rins at Team Suzuki Ecstar next season as the young Spaniard is set to make his MotoGP debut in 2019 after making an impressive start to his Moto2 career.
Reigning Moto3 world champion Joan Mir will make the move up to the premier class next season with Team Suzuki Ecstar, Mir has made an excellent start to his Moto2 career with a outstanding recovery ride in Texas after a first corner carnage, and going on to get his first Moto2 podium in just his 5th race in arguably the toughest Moto2 field in recent history.
Joan Mir first came to the MotoGP paddock full time back in 2016 with the Leopard Moto3 squad, it didn’t take Mir long to show his talent as he went on to win the Austrian Grand Prix backed up by a excellent podium in Misano.
2017 saw Joan Mir can the nickname “Miracle Mir” as we saw a dominant showing by the young Spaniard beating far more experienced Moto3 riders to the tittle with 10 wins and 13 podiums.
