Colin Turkington took victory in the second race of the day at Silverstone as title contenders Ash Sutton and Tom Ingram suffered late race punctures.
Ingram had got ahead of polesitter Dan Cammish early on and had kept a comfortable gap to both Cammish and then Turkington before suffering the puncture four laps from the end and just one lap after Sutton had his.
Sutton’s race had started well, passing Turkington around the outside of Copse but punted Rory Butcher into a spin just one corner later at Becketts.
After the contact Sutton dropped down to tenth and held onto the position until lap 17 when he was forced to pit because of the puncture.
Turkington now leads Sutton in the championship by just six points.
Turkington led Cammish home by 1.245s with Adam Morgan completing the podium in third.
Matt Neal had a lonely race, eventually finishing fourth, four seconds behind Morgan in third and four seconds ahead of Aidan Moffat in fifth.
Josh Cook finished in sixth just 0.696s ahead of Jake Hill in seventh.
Ollie Jackson, Tom Oliphant and Senna Proctor rounded out the top 10 in eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.
Tom Chilton finished in 11th ahead of Sam Osbourne in 12th.
Bobby Thompson had his best result of the weekend in 13th with the recovering Butcher in 14th.
Chris Smiley completes the points scorers in 15th.
