Colin Turkington took a comfortable victory from Tom Ingram at Snetterton after surviving a first lap attack from the Toyota driver.
Turkington flew off the line which gave him a comfortable gap from the fast starting Ingram, but that gap closed almost instantly by the Toyota driver as he attempted a move into Agostini.
Ingram was unable to get past with Jake Hill trying, and failing, to take advantage.
From there Turkington was unassailable, steadily increasing the gap to Ingram.
The victory puts both Turkington and Ash Sutton in the lead of the championship with both drivers on 272 points.
Turkington’s team mate Tom Oliphant was the innocent victim of a first lap tangle which also involved Aidan Moffat and Ollie Jackson at turn 1.
All three drivers were able to carry on after rejoining the track.
Turkington’s job was made easier by Ingram and Hill battling for second with both drivers making contact at the Montreal hairpin.
Hill made a committed move into the hairpin sending Ingram into a half-spin and took second position but gave the position back to Ingram later in the lap.
After a poor start, Rory Butcher worked his way back up to fourth and stayed there for the rest of the race.
Sutton was able to pass Dan Cammish at the end of the race to finish fifth with Cammish in sixth.
Adam Morgan finished just 0.499s behind Cammish in seventh with Josh Cook in eighth.
Senna Proctor and Michael Crees complete the top 10 in ninth and tenth respectively.
Chris Smiley came home in 11th with Stephen Jelley in 12th just ahead of Matt Neal in 13th.
Tom Oliphant recovered from the turn 1 incident to finish 14th with Carl Boardley rounding out the points scorers in 15th.
