Alpine have launched their 2023 challenger in the final car launch this year, ahead of pre-season testing next week.

The Alpine A523 shares a similar livery to last year’s car, though follows the trend of having more exposed carbon fibre on the car to save weight.

It is an all French line-up for Alpine this year, as Pierre Gasly partners Esteban Ocon, replacing Fernando Alonso.

Just as they had last year, alpine will start the season with a fully pink livery. The special livery, done to celebrate title partner BWT, will be used in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia.

Alpine finished 4th in the constructor’s standings last season, their best finish since 2019. Otmar Szafnauer said that the team is hoping to be “closer to third than fifth”.

Pierre Gasly also confirmed that the team’s target was “to consolidate 4th in the championship, in a more dominant fashion”. He is also impressed by his new team, describing Alpine as a “great project”, and that “everything I’ve seen at the factory, there is just massive potential, and we’ve got the resources”.

Every team has now revealed the 2023 cars, ahead of the start of pre-season testing on 23rd February.
