Race 1 Rundown:

Saturday afternoon saw the heavens open, and the session at Silverstonewas officially declared a wet race. This meant there would be one more formation lap and one less racing lap. As soon as the lights went out at Silverstone, Rees took control of the race and led the pack as the sun came out.

It wasn’t long before the first collision occurred, with Toparis and Bennett coming together at Club Corner. Both drivers continued in the race but were trailing behind the rest of the grid. By lap 3, Rees had extended his lead to 1.998s ahead of Cresswell in P2.

With Rees out in front, Cresswell worked to extend his advantage over Voisin, who was now in P3. Another spin occurred on the 8th lap for Rashid, causing a broken front wing. As the checkered flag was waved at Silverstone, Rees had a 4.4s gap to Cresswell, with Voisin crucially taking P3. For the Carlin driver, this closed the gap to Alex Dunne at the top of the standings to just one point.

Race 2 Rundown:

The second race of the weekend at Silverstone was thankfully declared a dry race, with the rain clouds holding off. Cresswell took the lead from Rees and was ready to create a gap, but this was cut short with a safety car coming out after Stewart got stuck in the gravel at Becketts. As soon as the lights went green and racing could continue, championship leaders Dunne and Voisin were wheel to wheel for P5.

A little further down the field in P8 and P9 were Waberski and Ping, who were continuously battling for the higher grid position. The pair switched positions around Stowe, but after Ping ran wide and partly went onto the grass, Waberski found his way back through. Ping had a battle on his hands now after going wide at Chapel, with Esterson taking advantage to get ahead. It would only be a matter of time before the pair were side by side, and Ping retook the lead over the Fortec.

With the checkered flag at waving at Silverstone, Cresswell took P1, with Rees settling for P2 and Kucharczyk in P3.
