Arthur Leclerc collected his maiden win in the FIA Formula 3 championship after leading the race from the reverse grid pole.

It was an enjoyable day for Arthur Leclerc and Prema Racing having a one-two finish with Dennis Hauger in second and Olli Caldwell in fourth fastest for the team.

The Monegasque driver has quite an experience for the day, knowing how Race 1 played out for him as he pulled out a brilliant drive to gain 18 positions from the back of the grid, which encouraged him to have more confidence in managing his expectations to win the race.

Starting from pole position allowed him to take his first victory as he dominated the race without a hitch setting a distant 4.2s gap between his teammate Dennis Hauger.

Sadly for Olli Caldwell, he didn’t make it to the top 3, and Prema Racing’s triple podium seemed impracticable with Victor Martins brilliant moves in overtaking the British driver to accumulate his second podium from the weekend.

Victor Martins managed to grab the third position away from Olli Caldwell as he finished the race in fourth fastest ahead of the two Trident’s drivers, Jack Doohan and Clement Novalak, in fifth and sixth fastest for the day.

Calan Williams made it to eight fastest for Jenzer Motorsport after claiming his maiden podium and race points with Hitech’s rookie Ayumu Iwasa in ninth and race one winner Frederik Vesti in tenth fastest for ART.

The last race of the second round of the FIA Formula 3 will start on Sunday at 11.40 AM local time in France, with Prema’s Dennis Hauger as the pole sitter and the rest of the grid from the qualifying session.
