Mercedes have released photos of their car, the W07, ahead of the first Pre-season test tomorrow.
The Brackley based team have finally released images of the W07, two days after a shakedown at Silverstone, where both drivers got to drive the car for the first time.
The car once again has the same silver arrow look of the previous seasons, with a brilliant blue chrome finish to it. Mercedes will also be keeping the same driver line-up of last year, three-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, and German driver Nico Rosberg. The current constructors and driver’s champions will be looking to pick up their third double championship on the bounce. The team have won 32 out of the last 38 Grand Prixs, breaking records along the way. Though Mercedes are cautious it seems about the threat the rest of the grid poses. In particular the Ferrari, who many believe will be the biggest threat to the Mercedes domination in 2016.

Chief technical officer Paddy Lowe stressed that while the car looks the same as previous seasons, underneath it tells a different story. “While the car may look very similar to its predecessor from the outside – as is inherent within stable regulations – underneath there are quite a lot of mini revolutions that make up an overall evolution for the new season.”
Lewis Hamilton will be taking to the track in the W07 tomorrow for the first day of testing.
