Field switches to JamSport for Clio Cup

Familiar face Graham Field will return to the Renault UK Clio Cup, challenging in the Master class for JamSport Racing.

Field spent 2015 racing with 20 Ten Racing and finished seventeenth overall in the championship. Now he’ll join Tom Grundy and Ant Whorton-Eales at JamSport.

“JamSport have very clear aspirations and having Ant on board after he was a title contender last year as well is a big draw in particular,” said Field. “He and Tom will be real benchmarks and can help me to further develop as a driver. That is a big motivation for me.”

JamSport Team Principal, Jamie Going, believes Field’s clear goals – wanting to develop as a driver – will help to develop the team as a whole.

“He’s clear about what’s important to him and it will bring us on as a team too, if we can help him achieve his goals,” he said. “It sets us another challenge and it’s one we hope can lead to some really good on-track results with him.”

“Having the opportunity to race at this level later in life is something that Graham clearly appreciates,” said championship manager Will Fewkes.

“For a driver three times the age of many of his rivals to still be so performance-driven is hugely impressive – we’re delighted to see him back for 2016.”
