Team BKR have announced their driver line up, completing the full season entry list for the 2016 British Touring Car Championship. Aron Smith and Mark Howard will be in two of the thirty two cars that will be competing in the championship.
Following the postponement of the B-TEC development series, which BKR had already signed up for, the team returns to the BTCC with Smith and Howard.
Speculation has surrounded the future of Smith’s BTCC career over the winter break but he has now confirmed he’s agreed to a two year extension with Team BMR, partners with the BKR opporation.
“I truly feel that I and everyone at BKR can have a remarkable season in the BTCC,” he said.
Howard graduates from the BTCC support series, UK Clio Cup, with two years; experience, and will now partner the multiple race winner in his debut BTCC season.
The first official test for the team will happen this afternoon at the BTCC launch event at Donington Park.
