Fielding aiming to continue good pace

Snetterton race winner Sennan Fielding is aiming to continue his good pace throughout the rest of the season. The JHR Developments driver secured his third and fourth wins of the season in the final race at the Norfolk track after a strong weekend.

Fielding led both the first and final races of the weekend from start to finish. Race two saw the teenager start eighth, but he was able to climb up to fifth throughout the race.

We spoke to Fielding as he came off of the podium after the final race of the weekend.

“[The race was] really good,” he said. “It was a bit close but it was good to get the second win of the weekend, which is nice.

“We came with really strong form at the start [of the weekend] and managed to keep it from there.”

Fielding’s focus now turns to the next race weekend at Knockhill. The JHR Developments driver is currently fourth in the championship, four points behind third place driver Devlin DeFrancesco and nine points away from the championship leader.

Another weekend like Snetterton would put him in the lead of the championship, but he hasn’t had an entirely consistent season so far.

We asked if he can keep the Snetterton pace through the rest of the season:

“Yes, that’s the aim. That is the aim.”
