Ben Davis will be joining the Clio Cup grid in a one off appearance at Silverstone next month. The 23 year old will join Team Pyro in the penultimate round of the championship.
Davis made an appearance at last year’s Silverstone round, where he impressed with two top ten finishes. A repeat of the 2015 results won’t come easy though.
“I’m under no illusions that repeating my results of last year will be tough,” Davis said. “The UK Clio Cup gird has got a whole lot more competitive in 2016 but it’s a challenge I relish. This is the place for drivers to prove themselves and I certainly know I’m with a fantastic team in Pyro.”
Pyro has definitely proved themselves as one of the best teams on the grid this season. The team already run four cars in the series, including championship leader Mike Bushell.
“Ben is a great addition to our team for Silverstone – everyone saw what he was capable of on his debut last year and I am sure he will quickly be on the pace,” said Pyro team principal Mark Hunt. “He’s very professional in his approach and is certainly someone we’d want in our line up for 2017.”
