Can Arden get four cars in the top six?

Arden rookie Ayrton Simmons believes it’s possible for the team to get all four of their cars in the top six.

The British team have only managed to score points with all four drivers once so far this season, and Simmons himself has only managed a best result of eighth this season, but he believes they’ve shown the pace they need to score higher.

“If we can get qualifying right at Knockhill, it’ll be a good weekend,” Simmons said after the final race at Snetterton, where he finished eighth.

“We’ve shown that we can actually finish all four drivers in the points and have a good car, and have pace as well.”

Arden’s best finish this season came in the second race at Croft. All four drivers took points, whilst Luis Leeds took the race win.

Snetterton wasn’t as amazing a weekend for the team, with the low light being when Leeds and Raffael Martins crashed into one another in the second race.

Simmons says his main aim for the season is to learn from every race. Snetterton will have given him a lot to learn from.

“I think, if all four of us end up having good luck at Knockhill, then we’ll bring all four cars in the top six. Hopefully.”

It might not be as simple as remembering not to crash into your team mate, though. Carlin have been much more successful at getting all four of their cars at the front of the field, so maybe Arden’s “good luck” might have to consist of Carlin’s bad luck.
