Ice Driver Scott McKenna will join HHC Motorsport for the 2017 Ginetta Junior Championship. The Stokesley teenager aims to take the rookie championship in his first year of motorsport.
McKenna has spent the past seven years Ice Driving race and rally cars in Sweden and Norway, and hopes that will give him an edge on the British tracks.
“I’ve grown up around motorsport and have been aware of Ginetta since I was very young,” said McKenna. “The Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship is definitely the most prominent Junior racing series in the UK and I’ve always wanted to race as a part of it in order to have the very best start to my sports car racing career.”
The fifteen year old aims to be taking rookie podiums from the very start of the championship. HHC hopes a strong testing programme ahead of the start of the season will allow Stokesley to hit the ground running.
