Ginetta Junior newcomer Fox Motorsport will field two rookies in their debut campaign. Keaton Samra and Finley Green made their car racing debut with the team in the Winter Series, finishing 11th and 17th overall.
Fox Motorsport are regular British GT and GT cup competitors, and are now expanding to the junior category to help drivers start their car racing careers.
“The team is really looking forward to competing in the championship,” said team principal Paul McNeilly. “We’ve been competing in both GT4 and GT3 for a number of years and now is the time to get involved in a Junior Championship and work with younger drivers to help them progress up the motorsport ladder. Both Fin and Keaton are from karting background and between them have won numerous Championships, so we’re looking forward to seeing how they progress this season.”
The teenagers have high hopes for their Ginetta Junior debut after a successful winter competition, with Samra looking for the rookie title in his debut year.
“I want to succeed with Fox, who have really helped me over the past year,” he said. “I like the challenge of cars, having come from close racing in Honda Cadet Karting and I would like to think I am ticking the boxes so far and want to be top rookie in 2017.”
The championship begins at Brands Hatch in April.
