Chinese racer Zhou “Daniel” Cao will complete his first full season in car racing with Double R Racing in their British Formula 4 campaign.
The teenager comes to the UK with a string of karting titles to his name and a one off appearance in last season’s Chinese F4 championship under his belt.
“I’m very happy to be making my UK debut in British F4 with a team as experienced and high profile as Double R,” said Cao.
Double R last season ran Australian racer Zane Goddard, helping him take four overall victories throughout the year.
“There’s a lot for me to learn, the car and the circuits, but I’m sure it’s going to be a great season, and I’m really looking forward to it,” Cao continued. “Everyone knows how tough the championship is, with a lot of quick drivers, but I’m hoping to make strong progress as the season unfolds.”
Cao has already set about getting to grips with the car, the teenager testing with the team last week at Brands Hatch. He completed nearly 170 laps of the circuit he’ll be heading too for the first round of the season in just under six weeks’ time.
