Dan Cammish took victory at the first race of the day whilst Ash Sutton took the championship lead from Colin Turkington in wet conditions at Brands Hatch.

Cammish’s win puts him back into the title hunt whilst reigning champion Turkington finished ninth giving Sutton the lead by just 2 points.

Tom Ingram made a solid start from pole ahead of Rory Butcher who lost out to both Sutton and Cammish.

The four title contenders of Ingram, Sutton, Cammish and Butcher began to break away from the rest of the field with Turkington staying in eighth.

Cammish was able to pass Sutton for 2nd on lap 2 through Paddock Hill Bend and immediately closed the gap to leader Ingram.

The top 4 held position before the safety car was brought out on lap 8 after Sam Osbourne and Glynn Geddie collided at Druids.

Ingram made a good restart putting a decent gap between himself and Cammish, but that gap was immediately closed by Cammish who took the lead on lap 13 at Druids.

Ingram struggled for pace as the race went on with Sutton closing in before being passed by the Infiniti driver on lap 22.

After getting into free air, Sutton was able to close the gap dramatically but ran out of laps to challenge Cammish for the victory.

Ingram completed the podium ahead of Butcher who unsurprisingly fell out of championship contention.

Ollie Jackson carried on his fine form by finishing fifth ahead of Jake Hill in sixth.

Matt Neal came home seventh ahead of Josh Cook and Turkington.

Tom Oliphant completed the top 10.

Adam Morgan and Tom Chilton finished in 11th and 12th respectively.

Chris Smiley came home 13th ahead of Aidan Moffat and Paul Rivett who rounds out the points scorers.
