Gordon Shedden has been disqualified from today’s qualifying session at Snetterton due to a technical infringement.
Shedden had earlier taken pole after the top ten showdown at the Norfolk circuit ahead of Colin Turkington and Tom Ingram.
Whilst the BTCC haven’t confirmed what caused the disqualification, Shedden, on Twitter, said this ‘Ecstasy to agony…what can I say… #1degree…as ever will give it my all tomorrow’.
Turkington now inherits pole and will be joined on the front row by Tom Ingram.
Tom Oliphant and Rory Butcher will start third and fourth with championship leader Jake Hill elevated to fifth.
Shedden will now start race 1 tomorrow in 28th and last place.
