Proposed Race 1 winner Lorenzo Colombo got demoted to P7 after investigating his action in ignoring the safety car.
Colombo handed his first-ever F3 win with Campos Racing to Hitech’s Ayumu Iwasa, who finished second in the race.
Advantaged by Colombo’s penalty, Iwasa unlocked his first F3 victory in the fourth round of the season.
As much as we loved the emotional win from the Italian driver, the established decision from the stewards was final as it inherits Ayumu Iwasa to step into the first place, joined by Olli Caldwell and Logan Sargeant in his first podium of the season.
With this breaking news being announced, Lorenzo Colombo will start from P5 this afternoon, following the next event in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
