Senna Proctor took his first victory of 2021 after the race was stopped twice because of accident damage.
At the first start Proctor and Sutton went into turn 1 side by side, with Sutton eventually taking the lead into Cascades.
But at that point Sam Osbourne was tipped into a spin and came across the track at Cascades leading to a multi car pile up taking out almost a third of the grid.
This resulted in another red flag, leading to a significant delay.
The race was restarted with 12 laps to run and with original starting grid with Proctor ahead of Sutton, Stephen Jelley and Gordon Shedden.
Proctor and Sutton again went into turn 1 side by side but unlike the previous start they made contact, which sent Sutton into a spin coming out of Old Hall and although he recovered the car quickly he then made contact with his team mate, Carl Boardley, at Cascades which put him out of the race.
Proctor was able to keep the lead ahead of the charging Jelley and appeared to have not suffered any damage.
Tom Ingram then came into the pits opening up the Championship opportunities near the top of the standings.
Proctor was then able to steadily increase his lead to Jelley putting himself over 2 seconds ahead with a quarter of the race remaining.
But coming into the final few laps Boardley suddenly veered across the track at Druids smashing into the innocent Butcher putting both out of the race and bringing out the third red flag of the day.
Boardley reportedly suffered brake failure and both drivers were able to get out of their cars unaided.
Proctor therefore took his first race victory of the season ahead of Jelley and Shedden.
Moffat and Morgan came home fourth and fifth ahead of Dan Rowbottom.
Jake Hill finished seventh ahead of Colin Turkington and ahead of Tom Chilton and Chris Smiley who rounded out the top ten.
