Jack Doohan secured his maiden pole position in the opening five minutes of the qualifying session, setting an early benchmark of 2:21.953.

Trident’s Jack Doohan completed the session with the quickest lap time of the session in wet track conditions at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit ahead of MP Motorsport’s Victor Martins in second.

As the rain gets heavier when the session was on the run, only a few drivers managed to improve their personal best as the session ended in a red flag.

The MP Motorsport duo was quick to claim their place on the second and third position, respectively, with the change over the wet track as it started to dry.

Alexander Smolyar sets the purple sector in the final three minutes out of the qualifying session, snatching the third position away from Caio Collet.

The Russian secured his place behind Martins in third for ART, with MP Motorsport’s Caio Collet in fourth fastest ahead of Charouz Racing’s Logan Sargeant, who will start in fifth.

Trident’s driver Clement Novalak will start in sixth after leading the free practice session of the Belgian Grand-Prix ahead of Frederik Vesti in seventh for ART.

David Schumacher will start in the eighth position as the third Trident’s driver to qualify inside the top 10, with the newest addition to the season Johnathan Hoggard in ninth for HWA Racelab and ART’s Roman Stanek taking the tenth position.

Campos Racing’s Lorenzo Colombo will be starting from pole position ahead of Hitech’s Jak Crawford in the first race of the FIA Formula 3 fourth round of the season in Belgium, which starts at 10.05 local time.
