Hitech’s rookie Isack Hadjar ends the third session of the weekend in Bahrain fastest with a 1:47.516 beating the 2020 Formula Renault champion Victor Martins in second for ART Grand Prix.
The French-Algerian driver seals the time quicker with a 0.086 of a second from Martins lap time, who dominated the morning session on the top of the timetable, less than 30 minutes before it ends.
Trident’s Johnny Edgar was third fastest, with the rest of the ART’s drivers, Gregoire Saucy and Juan Manuel Correa closing the session in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Zane Maloney ended the pre-season test outside the top 5 for the first time in sixth fastest for Trident, following a successful day for the rookie on day one ahead of MP Motorsport’s Alexander Smolyar in seventh.
Zak O’Sullivan was eighth fastest as he brings Carlin inside the top 10 for the first time this weekend, with PREMA Racing’s Jak Crawford in ninth and William Alatalo in tenth fastest for Jenzer Motorsport.
The FIA Formula 3 pre-season test will resume at 14.30 local times.
