After many delays due to the weather conditions- the pouring rain of Indonesia- the race gets to start!

Quartararo is in pole position, followed by Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin. The race is wet and it’s Quartararo who get away well at the front. Just behind him, the KTM of Miguel Oliveira is in 2nd with Jack Miller behind him. Miller has a lot of success in the wet- can he do it again?

Alex Rins also got away well on the first lap, making his way up to 5th. The race is only 20 laps, he needs to make that move quickly to try and fight for the podium.

Quartararo makes a mistake on the second lap and loses first and second to Oliveira and Miller.

Miller and Oliveira begin to make a lead, being 1.769 seconds ahead of Quartararo and Rins. Zarco is in 5th place and Martin is down in 8th, ahead of Francesco Bagnaia.

Quartararo continues to have misfortune as he touches the curb and loses 3rd to Rins and Zarco.

On Lap 17, Martin also touches the curb and nearly highsides off the track. But soon after, with 13 laps to go, he also crashes out of the race and has is 2/2 DNF’s of the season.

Oliveira is in first place, 1.4 seconds ahead of Miller who is 1.8 seconds ahead of Alex Rins.

As Rins begins to fall down the line, Zarco takes third place from Quartararo and Rins. He also closes the gap between himself and Miller as he battles for 2nd place. It’s too late to fight for 1st, but every point counts.

It remains the same for much of the race, except Quartararo ends up in the battle for 2nd.

In the end, Oliveira takes the win followed by Quartararo and Zarco!
