Team Pyro will team up with 20Ten Racing to run a three-car team in the new Clio Cup Junior championship next season.
The new team expects to begin testing drivers next month in preparation for the inaugural championship in 2017.
“We are at capacity with our UK Clio Cup commitments and other projects such as track day activities, so bringing in 20Ten to run the junior team but with our engineering input is the best all-round solution,” said Pyro Team Principal Mark Hunt.
The junior series, which will race in the same cars as the main Clio Cup series, has generated considerable interest from 14 to 17 year old drivers looking to take their first step on the car racing ladder. The announcement of 20Ten-Pyro’s involvement in the new championship comes soon after Ciceley Motorsport announced they would also run a 3 car squad in the series.
