Colin Turkington took his second victory of the day at Snetterton taking the championship lead from Ash Sutton.
Sutton came home fourth giving Turkington a lead of 7 points.
Turkington again made a stunning start with Ingram and Butcher following closely behind.
Unlike race one, Turkington was unable to gap the rest of field as quickly with six cars involved in the lead battle.
Sutton, Dan Cammish and the slow starting Jake Hill brought up the rear of of the lead battle.
Butcher then started to put pressure on Ingram which gave Turkington the chance to get some air between himself and Ingram.
The order stayed the same throughout with all the drivers in the lead battle having similar pace despite success ballast.
However with just over a lap remaining Jack Goff spun at Riches causing him to crash into the inside barrier on the exit of the first corner. The car was launched into the air after hitting the barrier and came to a stop on the outside of the track.
The crash brought out the safety car and once Goff’s car was cleared up the safety car came in with a one lap shootout to decide the race.
Turkington timed his restart perfectly putting a big gap between himself and Ingram.
Butcher hit the back of Ingram at the Montreal hairpin putting Butcher into fourth and Sutton into third.
Ingram was able to hang on to second ahead of Sutton and Butcher.
Jake Hill finished fifth with Dan Cammish sixth.
Josh Cook and Adam Morgan finished in seventh and eighth respectively with Ollie Jackson and Chris Smiley rounding out the top ten.
Tom Oliphant finished 11th with Matt Neal in 12th and Senna Proctor in 13th.
Michael Crees and Sam Osbourne completed the points scorers in 14th and 15th respectively.
