Gordon Shedden took his first pole position since his return to the championship after a session long battle with Colin Turkington.
Qualifying 1
The first session started slowly, with Turkington setting the first representative lap almost 10 minutes into the 25 minute session.
Turkington was beaten by both Ash Sutton and Tom Oliphant before claiming the top spot again soon after.
The order eventually settled with 10 minutes to go with Turkington’s 1:55.294 keeping him at the head of the field ahead of Tom Ingram, Shedden and Oliphant.
Championship leader Jake Hill struggled to start with having set a time comfortably outside the top 10, however was able to put himself into the top 6 with his final lap.
Reigning champion Sutton failed to reach the top 10, finishing the session in 16th.
Turkington completed the session on top ahead of Ingram, Shedden, Oliphant, Rory Butcher, Hill, Stephen Jelley, Ollie Jackson, Dan Lloyd and Adam Morgan.
Qualifying 2
Turkington once again showed his and BMW’s pace, setting a 1:56.067 ahead of Oliphant and Morgan.
Ingram was the first driver into the 1.55s closely followed by Shedden and then Turkington.
Turkington and Shedden continued to trade times with the Dynamics driver coming out on top after setting a time of 1:55.208 ahead of the Team BMW driver.
Ingram will start third ahead of Butcher and Jelley.
Morgan finished the shootout in sixth ahead of Jackson and Hill with Lloyd and Oliphant rounding out the top 10.
