ART GP’s Victor Martins won Formula 2’s Qatar feature race, while second was enough for Leonardo Fornaroli to seal the title.

Fornaroli started from pole, but the Invicta Racing driver was beaten to turn one by Martins, who built an early five-second lead.

The gap grew to almost 10s after Fornaroli pitted on lap six to switch from soft to hard compound tyres and promoted his teammate Roman Stanek to second.

Stanek soon ran wide and lost out to MP Motorsport’s Oliver Goethe.

Martins, as well as the remainder of the top 7, pitted on lap 7, allowing Hitech GP’s Dino Beganovic to lead on an alternate strategy.

Beganovic was over 10s clear when the safety car was deployed due to Goethe’s car grinding to a halt.was the fastest on track, already 5.4s clear by lap 10 and holding a 10.6s gap when the safety car appeared on lap 15.

The race resumed two laps later, and Beganovic pulled away again before eventually pitting for soft  tyres on lap 27.

Martins moved back to the front, and he controlled the remainder of the race to take his first feature race victory of the 2025.

Fornaroli wrapped up the championship with a round to spare to add to his 2024 FIA F3 crown

Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Dunne was third ahead of Arvid Lindblad and Sebastian Montoya, while Richard Verschoor profited from a penalty for Nikola Tsolov to finish sixth.
