Tom Chilton has signed to continue with Sebastien Loeb Racing alongside his British Touring Car Championship return.
Chilton announced he would be returning to the BTCC with Power Maxed Racing at the end of last year but, as there are no date clashes with the WTCC, he planned on becoming the first man to run in both championships simultaneously, though he was yet to secure a WTCC seat for 2017.
Confirmation that Chilton will be racing in WTCC means the Brit is facing a busy 2017, but one that could see plenty of success.
“It’s going to be a busy year but I’m immensely proud and excited to be working with Sebastien Loeb Racing again,” he said.
“The 2016 season delivered some amazing moments that I want to carry into this year and improve on my second place in the WTCC Trophy.”
Chilton will race a Citeron C-Elysees in the World Touring Car Championship whilst competing in a Vauxhall Astra in the manufacturer Power Maxed Racing team in the BTCC.
