JamSport announce MINI JCW star for Clio Cup

MINI JCW runner up Nathan Harrison will take the step up the Clio Cup championship this season.

With the hopes of one day joining the British Touring Car Championship grid, Harrison has signed with reigning champions JamSport Racing for his Clio Cup debut.

“I’ve watched lots of the UK Clio Cup action on TV and the racing is really close and also a big challenge which is what I like,” Harrison said. “The biggest challenge could be Thruxton – it’s the fastest track in the country and I’ve not raced there before.”

Team Principal Jamie Going believes Harrison will be a good fit to help the team retain their Clio Cup title this season.

“As reigning champions we’ve clearly got some honour to defend after our success and he’s an exciting talent who’s put his faith in us as he looks to a career in touring cars,” Going said. “I’m sure we can hit the ground running together and quickly be in the hunt for strong results.”

Harrison is the first driver JamSport have announced for their 2017 Clio Cup campaign.
