After the success of last years British F3 iRacing Championship, it is set to return for 4 virtual races before the season begins.
The British F3 iRacing Championship is set to return on Wednesday 3rd February for 4 virtual races after the success of the series last year. The Championship will see both present and past F3 drivers competing.
The series will include tracks from the 2021 British F3 calendar as well as a wildcard track which will be voted for by the public. They will have the option between the Suzuka or Interlagos circuits for the international race in the series, which would normally be at Spa-Francorchamps.
After visiting the series opener at Brands Hatch, the Championship will visit Silverstone. However, it will not be the traditional track layout. Instead, the drivers will take to the older version of the circuit last used by Formula 1 in 2009. Changes to the lap include a high-speed right-hander at Bridge as well as other significant changes to the circuit that Britsih F3 would traditionally use.
Each round will consist of practice, qualifying and two races on Wednesday evenings throughout February from 8 pm.
It will be streamed live across the official BRDC British F3 Facebook page and Youtube channel.
The British F3 season is scheduled to begin at Oulton Park on April 3rd.
British F3 iRacing Calendar:
