Due to current lockdown restrictions, the BRDC British F3 calendar has been revised and will now run between the months of May to October this year. This is to ensure that the planned 8 race weekends can go ahead.
Changes to the original calendar include the Championship starting at Brands Hatch on 22nd May instead of the 3rd April at Oulton Park and the visit to Snetterton is now being held on the weekend of August 7th. As well as Oulton Park’s triple-header moving to the weekend of September 11th and Donnington Park’s second visit now taking place on 16th October.
There have not been any changes to the overseas visit to Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone and the first visit to Donnington Park. These will all take place as originally planned as they are later in the year.
However, with the current coronavirus situation worsening in the UK, the calendar could be revised again. The UK is currently in a third National Lockdown. To keep your British F3 fix, the series is taking to virtual tracks once again this year with the iRacing calendar announced last week.
Even with the changes made to the calendar, the series will still run ahead in collaboration with the British GT Championship as previously planned.
