FIA Formula 3: Calan Williams ends the second morning session fastest

Jenzer Motorsport’s Calan Williams ended the pre-season test’s second-morning session fastest.

Calan Williams proved his best record in setting the fastest time record with 1:18.836 faster than any drivers who topped the previous session in the pre-season test. The Australian driver showed a significant improvement throughout the sessions as his best result was in 13th from yesterday’s afternoon test.

Matteo Nannini secured his position for the remaining session in second fastest, with Jenzer Motorsport ahead of Carlin’s Kaylen Frederick in 3rd.

The reigning champion of Formula Renault Victor Martins finished the session in 4th for MP Motorsport, with Jack Crawford in 5th for Hitech.

Both Charouz Racing drivers, Michael Belov and Logan Sargeant, ended the second-morning session in 6th and 7th.

ART’s Frederik Vesti finished the session in 8th, followed by David Schumacher in 9th for Trident and the second MP Motorsport driver from the pre-season testing Caio Collet in 10th.

Juan Manuel Correa secured his position in 11th for the second ART car with Carlin’s Johnny Edgar in 12th and Oliver Rasmussen as the leading HWA driver in 13th.

Jack Doohan managed to end the session 14th fastest for Trident, ahead of his teammate Clement Novalak in 15th and the rookie Ido Cohen in 16th for Carlin.

Hitech closed the session with both of their drivers, Ayumu Iwasa and Roman Stanek, as they took the 17th and 18th spots, respectively.

Mexican racing driver Rafael Villagomez was 19th for the last HWA driver from the session, just 0.017 of a second away from Alexandr Smolyar in 20th for ART, leaving the new driver Reshad De Gerus in 21st for Charouz Racing.

Amaury Cordeel was 22nd fastest as the leading Campos driver, followed by Filip Ugran in 23rd for Jenzer Motorsport and the first Prema racing driver from the second-morning session, Olli Caldwell in 24th.

Pierre Louis Chovet ended the day for Jenzer Motorsport in 25th fastest with the two Campos racing drivers, Laszlo Toth and Lorenzo Colombo, in 26th and 27th.

Dennis Hauger was 28th fastest for Prema, with the last MP Motorsport driver Tjimen Van Der Helm in 29th and Arthur Leclerc in 20th for Prema.

The last session from the pre-season testing in Spielberg will begin at 13:00 Austrian local time as the second-afternoon session.
