In a day full of mechanical issues Team X44 pairing of Sebastien Loeb and Cristina Gutierrez topped qualifying in Greenland. The Rosberg X Racing duo recovered from issues early on to go 3rd overall in the Artic X-Prix.

Sebastien Loeb and Cristina Gutiérrez maintained their qualifying form after topping the times on Saturday. In a change of format, the X44 pairing won Q1 followed by 2nd in Q2 to score 17 out of a possible 18 points. They were helped by avoiding any major issues.

Abt Cupra managed to hold onto 2nd place overall despite retiring in Q2. A double puncture for Mattias Ekstrom prevented his teammate from leaving the changeover area as one of the tyre rims had been damaged. A second place in Q1 helped them to beat RXR in qualifying. The championship leaders had an abysmal morning session with Kristofferson stopping 3 times on his lap while Molly Taylor rolled the car before continuing. It meant they ended Q1 in 8th and last of those who completed 2 laps. They jumped up the standings by winning Q2 to end equal on points with Abt Cupra.

Andretti United had to overcome an issue in Q1. Braking into the driver change area the car shutdown. It cost them over a minute as Timmy Hansen tried to restart his Spark Odyssey 21. 3rd in Q2 helped they to go 4th overall with the same number of points as Veloce Racing. The e-sports team turned real life racers suffered a power steering issue from the start of Q2. Stéphane Sarrazin tried to restart the car but this failed to resolve the issue. Acciona Sainz could only manage 6th despite being the only other team to avoid mechanical issues.

Chip Ganassi looked set to challenge for victory heading into Q2. However, a massive rear suspension failure for Kyle LeDuc stopped the team in their tracks. They just managed to beat JBXE and Xite Energy. In Q1 Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky broke the steering at the end of her lap preventing Kevin Hansen from starting his lap. In Q2 it was Kevin who suffered a car shutdown when entering the driver change area, an issue identical to his brother.

Xite Energy propped up the standings. A measured Q1 run was wasted after a drive issue in Q2. With only 2 wheel drive Oliver Bennett had to retire the car after getting stuck on circuit.

Team X44 close in on RXR in the points table and are now only 12 points behind. With a new format for this weekend all teams are able to advance to the 5 car final from the semi-finals and crazy race.
