FIA Formula 3: The unstoppable Jack Doohan achieves two wins in a row

Trident’s Jack Doohan makes an unstoppable move by winning two races in a row, beating the second-placed Victor Martins with less than a second gap in a wet track condition.

By taking the pole position and winning two races in the Belgian Grand Prix, Jack Doohan created an intensely close point to almost snatching the championship lead from Dennis Hauger.

Doohan dominated the race from pole, followed by a huge spray as Hauger put on a tough battle in gaining six positions from 14th, pressuring many drivers along the way to earn points as little as four points at the end of the race.

MP Motorsport’s Victor Martins was second, as he runs closely behind the race leader with a few fights in his attempt to snatch Doohan’s place, ahead of ART’s Alexander Smolyar in third.

Smolyar made up his mistakes by showing up on the podium in the last race of the Belgian Grand Prix after he lost his grip on maintaining P3 in Race 2.

Caio Collet ended the race in fourth for MP Motorsport, delivering a brilliant drive from ninth place, leading Trident’s Clement Novalak in fifth.

ART’s Frederik Vesti was sixth ahead of Charouz Racing’s Logan Sargeant, who regrettably dropped four places back from P3 in seventh.

The championship leader Dennis Hauger showed up in eighth for PREMA Racing, delivering a brilliant drive from the fourteenth place, with Trident’s David Schumacher in ninth and his teammate Arthur Leclerc in tenth.

The next round of the FIA Formula 3 in Zandvoort, Netherlands will take place on 03-05 September with many surprises to come from the 29 strong fields.
