Timmy Hansen was victorious on home soil at the World RX of Sweden leading Kevin Hansen for the second Team Hansen one-two of the season.

The second round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship took place at the famous circuit in Holjes, Sweden. The two Hansen brothers started the final on the front row looking to take the win at their home event.

Timmy held Kevin and the rest of the field off to take the lead at the first corner, from there he took a dominating victory ahead of brother and teammate Kevin Hansen.

The challenge from behind was from Kevin Abbring. The Unkorrupted driver took his joker lap at the start of the race. Although this meant he was stuck behind Krisztian Szabo until the last lap when he took his joker. Abbring claimed his first podium finish on only his sixth World RX event.

Szabo dropped another place when taking his joker to finish fifth behind Enzo Ide, the only one of the two KYB EKS JC drivers to make the final. Juha Rytkonen was the final finisher.

Peter Hedstrom and Niclas Gronholm missed out on a place in the final from the first semi-final. Gronholm finished the race in second but picked up a penalty for hitting a course marker which dropped him out.

Defending champion Johan Kristoffersson lost out in the semi-final after picking up a double puncture. Also missing out from semi-final two was Attila Mozer.

After the second round of the championship Timmy Hansen leads the standings by six points from Kevin Hansen. Szabo jumps up to third 17 points behind the leader.

Round three of the championship returns with the World RX of Loheac on September 4th and 5th.
