Arthur Leclerc tops another morning session in Jerez in-season testing for PREMA Racing with the fastest time of 01:30.628, beating Carlin’s rookie Zak O’Sullivan in second by just six-tenths of a second.
The Monegasque holds the quickest time record of the weekend as his teammate Oliver Bearman only managed to change the benchmark to 1:33.009 in the first-ever afternoon session yesterday.
Zak O’Sullivan improved on his personal best in finishing second after a mixed-up post-season testing, ahead of MP Motorsport’s Caio Collet in third.
Last year’s highest-placed rookie Victor Martins completed the session in fourth for ART Grand Prix as Van Amersfoort Racing’s Franco Colapinto rounded out the top 5.
Trident’s rookie Oliver Rasmussen improved throughout the weekend as the second ART Grand Prix driver Juan Manuel Correa completed the session in seventh fastest.
Oliver Bearman, who topped the afternoon session yesterday, could only finish in eighth fastest for PREMA Racing with a 1:31.140 ahead of Hitech’s rookie Kaylen Frederick in ninth and Reece Ujishima in tenth fastest for Van Amersfoort Racing.
The final session of Jerez post-season testing will begin at 2 PM local times.
