Dan Cammish took victory in round 4 of the 2020 BTCC season after Rory Butcher suffered a late race puncture.
Polesitter Butcher had kept the lead from the start, keeping Cammish and the fast-starting Colin Turkington behind throughout.
Cammish stayed within a second of Butcher throughout, bringing the gap as low as 0.2s more than once.
After the safety car was brought out for Aiden Moffat and Matt Neal’s crash at Hawthorns, Butcher had stayed in front only for his front-left to suffer a puncture on the way into Druids.
From there Cammish kept a comfortable gap to Turkington, while Butcher’s team mate Ollie Jackson took his first podium for the Motorbase team, fending off Tom Ingram until the chequered flag.
Tom Chilton was the highest placed BTC Racing driver finishing in fifth after holding off 2017 Champion Ash Sutton.
Senna Proctor took his highest place finish of the year so far, in seventh, in the Hyundai i30N just ahead of the BMW 330i of Tom Oliphant.
Stephen Jelley and local driver Jake Hill rounded out the top 10.
Adam Morgan and Michael Crees came home in 11th and 12th respectively.
Rookie James Gornall earned the first points of his BTCC career finishing 13th in the Audi S3.
Bobby Thompson and Chris Smiley finishing in 14th and 15th and round out the points scorers.
