Matt Simpson has joined Team Dynamics for his second season in the British Touring Car Championship. The 33 year old will continue to race under the Simpson Racing banner.
Simpson took third in the Jack Sears Trophy contest last season, earning a rookie win in the final round of the championship. He aims to build on a fairly anonymous rookie season in 2017 with guidance from new teammates, Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden.
“I’m over the moon to be working with Team Dynamics for next year,” Simpson said. “Their track record and pedigree speaks for itself, and we know we have a great package in the Honda Civic Type R they have developed.”
Though he hasn’t started testing with them yet, the new team are expecting big things from their new recruit.
“He was fast and reliable all year,” said Team Dynamics team manager James Rodgers. “And I now hope with our input we can help him move up the grid to the next level.”
Simpson took three points finishes last season, with a highest place finish of thirteenth at Thruxton.
