Josh Cook dominated race 1 at Thruxton after a magnificent start saw him jump from third to first on lap 1.
Polesitter Dan Rowbottom started well but it was the fast starting Josh Cook that took the lead into the the complex.
Rowbottom fell further down the order, eventually finishing the first lap in fourth behind Jake Hill and Tom Oliphant.
Eighth placed Dan Lloyd then received at 5 second for a starting grid infringement.
Ash Sutton was the main mover in the middle of the grid, getting himself into fifth with just under half the race to go.
Cook, Hill and Oliphant were able to consistently increase the gap to Rory Butcher in fourth who did a remarkable job in keeping Sutton behind him.
Butcher’s defence was successful allowing the top three to finish the race unchallenged with Cook finishing 1.360s ahead of Hill with Oliphant completing the podium.
Butcher held onto fourth by just over half-a-second from Sutton.
Rowbottom finished in sixth ahead of Adam Morgan and Senna Proctor with Jason Plato and Tom Ingram completing the top 10.
